This story explores the existential terror of being a pre-teen in a rapidly changing world, inspired by Goosebumps, Gravity Falls, Scooby-Doo, Twin Peaks, Hilda, The X-Files, Lovecraft, Stephen King, Weekly World News, conspiracy theories, cryptid-sightings, and all things creepy.

Salamander Road explores nostalgia, alienation, and the feeling of being left behind. It’s inspired by 80s horror films like The Amityville Horror, the ghost stories of Henry James, and real-life cases of hauntings in the UK like the Enfield Poltergeist.
